# Support

JadeGit is open-source software, provided as-is, without warranty or formal support commitments. It’s licensed under the [GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) v3](https://gitlab.com/jadelab/jadegit/-/blob/main/COPYING.LESSER). While we don’t provide formal guarantees, we welcome questions, feedback, and suggestions — your input helps shape the project and guide its ongoing development.

## 🐞 Issues

If you discover a bug or have an idea for a new feature, **check the project** [**issue tracker**](https://gitlab.com/jadelab/jadegit/-/issues) to see if it’s already been reported.

* If it hasn’t, raise a new issue.
* If it has, add a comment with any additional details or context — this also signals interest and may help prioritisation.

When reporting a bug, please include:

* **JadeGit version**
* **Jade Platform version**
* **Steps to reproduce the bug** ⚡ (a minimal example helps a lot)
* **Relevant logs or screenshots**

Feature requests don’t require version or reproducer details, but a clear description of the problem or enhancement helps us understand and prioritise it. Using the issue tracker ensures everyone can see the discussion and collaborate openly.

As JadeGit usage grows, teams may decide to nominate someone to coordinate issue reporting and distinguish problems with internal workflows from those specific to JadeGit.

Slack is a space to:

* 🗨️ Ask questions (exploratory or general)
* 💡 Share tips and experiences
* 🤝 Collaborate with other JadeGit users and contributors

Confirmed bugs and feature requests should still be logged via the [issue tracker](https://gitlab.com/jadelab/jadegit/-/issues) so they’re properly tracked, but feel free to use Slack for early feedback, tips, or discussion.
